Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Clients
Maya Group has conducted a considerable amount of qualitative research in the U.S. and overseas for healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. We are skilled at getting to the heart of participants’ concerns and opinions on complex and sensitive subjects. Our research participants have included general consumers of pharmaceutical products and healthcare services, patients diagnosed with specific diseases or conditions, doctors and other medical professionals.
Example 1. To test a new ad campaign, Maya Group conducted several instant response group sessions in the U.S. on behalf of a major pharmaceutical company. The research helped our client better understand which aspects of its new campaign were working (and not working) by measuring the emotional, non-verbal response of the audience to the test material on a moment-to-moment basis, isolating those elements that were relevant, meaningful and informative. We shed light on whether or not the settings, locations and spokesperson either contributed to or detracted from breakthrough, consumer interest, motivation and perceptions of the brand.
Example 2. Maya Group conducted worldwide exploratory research for a leading pharmaceutical company to assess the opportunity for introduction of a new treatment into an existing disease category. This research was designed to understand the impact of the disease on patients’ lives, drivers for patients to seek diagnosis, barriers for treatment, patient satisfaction with current treatment options and unmet needs.
Example 3. A global pharmaceutical company engaged Maya Group to explore feelings about a common, but not widely discussed medical condition among diagnosed and undiagnosed participants in the U.S., U.K. and Germany. Maya Group helped its client better understand the perceived pros and cons of commonly prescribed pharmaceutical treatments, as well as wants and needs among its target audience.
Example 4. Maya Group was invited to partner with a European-based market research firm to complete a qualitative study for a global pharmaceutical company. Our portion of the research was to conduct a series of in-depth interviews in the U.S. with consumers and general practitioners on the subject of osteoporosis and calcium products. We were able to determine relative positioning of different calcium brands and gain a better understanding of attitudes and behaviors with regard to use or non-use of calcium products. |
